Finland's finest play at Helsinki City hall! Helsinki Festival and the OP-Pohjola Group are again joining forces to organise the second consecutive Chamber music at the City Hall series. This five concert series is an opportunity for audiences to hear young musicians play rare instruments from the Pohjola Bank Arts Foundation collection. The instruments comprise a Ferdidandus Gagliano violin (1767), a Testore violin (1730), a Pierre & Hippolyte Silvestre violin (1843), a Stradivarius violin (1702), a Guidantus viola (1737), a Charles Gaillard violin (1737) and a Leonhard Maussiell viola (1722). The seven young musicians taking to the stage for this year's series are Jaso Sasaki, Linda Hedlund, Terhi Paldanius, Antti Tikkanen, Atte Kilpeläinen, Eeva Oksala and Sauli Kulmala. In addition to the Pohjola Bank Arts Foundation instruments, two visiting celloists, Petja Kainulainen and Tomas Nuñez-Garcés, will be performing in the final concert of the series.
