The temperate climate and relaxed atmosphere of America’s West Coast is apparent in the positive tenor of the jazz produced in the region in the 1950s and 1960s. Teppo Mäkynen’s Teddy’s West Coasters brings this tradition based on top flight ensemble playing to Viapori. The band plays original compositions by its leader as well as classics from the cool jazz era. This is set to be an airily swinging night for friends of jazz, new and old.
